Galveston Bay Fishing

Galveston Bay fishing

In Galveston, we have a YEAR ROUND fishery. Whether it be in the shallow bays, the jetties or in the Gulf of Mexico, the Galveston Bay complex is one of the best fishing destinations in the world.

Year round fishing begins with our Speckled Trout and Redfish. These highly sought after fish are caught in the bay on both artificial and natural baits. Most all of the fishing is done from the boat, drifting over shell and mud, are schools of fish in our vast bay system. This type of fishing can be very fast.

This type of trip is a good trip for the kids.

World Class Tarpon and Shark Fishing

May - October

Tarpon fishing on Galveston Bay

Tarpon Fishing on Galveston Bay

By the end of May, Galveston offers world class Tarpon and Shark fishing. These high flying fish are caught just off the beaches of Galveston in 20-60 feet of water. Getting more bang for your buck, this is the trip Angling Adventures runs the most during the summer months. Large fish, sometimes pushing 200 lbs., can be caught. The beachfront trips run until the middle of October when the water temperature falls below a level that keeps them in the area. On these trips we offer more fishing time and the chance to catch fish as big as, or even bigger, than you are.
